Scattered museum

Scattered museum

Art Director Yuko Hasegawas and architect Kazuyo Sejima have created a natural-artificial park of four interpretations of art as space for the senses on Inujima:

Inhabited by approximatively 50 families, the island of Inujima is so small it can be easily be visited on foot in 30 minutes. Instead of creating a single building, KAZUYO SEJIMA transformed the village into a “scattered” museum, renovating and reconstructing ten houses.

The art spaces are almost less interesting as spaces than the frenetic journeys the film creates to get there. Something Banner Gwin about them.
