The context of objects

The context of objects

On context, from Terra Infirma:

“Few objects today are offered alone,” says Baudrillard, “without a context of objects to speak for them. And the relation of the consumer to the objet [sic] has consequently changed: the object is no longer referred to in relation to a specific utility, but as a collection of objects in their total meaning.”

See for yourself. (The irony of the site’s lack of context should not be lost.)
